N.C. judge to hear testimony from Nancy Cooper' s friends and family

RALEIGH, N.C. - Friends and family of a slain jogger Nancy Cooper and her husband Bradley Cooper are headed to court in North Carolina to try to resolve a custody arrangement for the couple's two children.
Wake District Court Judge Debra Sasser is expected to hear testimony from friends and relatives of both parents on Friday as part of a hearing about the couple's two daughters.
Former Edmonton resident Nancy Cooper was last seen by her husband who told authorities she had left for an early morning jog.
Cooper, 34, was found dead on July 14 not far from her home in Cary, N.C. Authorities have not named any suspects.
Last week, Nancy Cooper's parents and twin sister were granted temporary custody after they alleged in court documents Bradley Cooper was emotionally unstable and poses a threat to the children.
But Bradley Cooper has said in court filings that he can provide the best care to his daughters.
