Heavenly Father, I am so thankful for Your Word — Your Living Word, Jesus, and for Your written Word! We have both "Living" and "Written" testimony of Your love for us, and the witness of your Holy Spirit. These three witnesses should be enough for our doubting minds, but still we look for more signs, more "proof." We have eyes, but we will not see. We have ears, but we do not listen.

Jesus paid our debt of sin when He gave His life to redeem us. Your Written Word is given to us to guide us in Your Way! Your Holy Spirit dwells in the hearts of every believer, to strengthen and empower us. You have not left us, your children, helpless and weak, but have provided for all our needs.

We have been living in the "wilderness" when we could have been living in "Canaan." Lord, remove the scales from our eyes that we might see clearly. Teach us to lean on You, not on our weak, self-made crutches. Heal us Lord! Heal our land! In the name of our dear Lord and Saviour we ask. Amen.

"In the mouth of two or three witnesses, shall every word be established" (2 Cor. 13:1)
