MALONE, N.Y. - Human remains found last week in a sand pit in northern New York state have been confirmed as those of a Canadian woman who disappeared four years ago.

Authorities in Franklin County say dental records were used to identify the remains of Nathalie Fournier of Quebec, who disappeared in October 2004.

Police say they began searching the sand pit in Malone, N.Y., after a suspect, Adam Morris, confessed to killing Fournier in Canada when he picked her up at the Quebec strip club where she worked as a dancer.

Authorities say the 30-year-old truck driver admitted dumping her body after he was charged in September with possession of child pornography found on his home computer.

Morris faces a second-degree murder charge in Quebec.
