Many events coming up at Legion Branch No. 23

Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 23 News

If you haven't already done so, it is time to renew your membership for 2008. Just drop by the Legion Wednesday or Friday evening or on Saturday afternoon — membership cards are available at the bar. Anyone interested in joining the Legion may also pick up an application at the bar.

The entertainment committee has been very busy planning events for the next month. We hope there is something of interest to all our members and their guests. The following is a schedule of what is planned:

March 29

Snowmobile run

• Registration — 10 a.m.

• Departure time — 11 a.m.

• Entry fee — $10 per machine.

• Hot lunch will be served following run.

• Dance — 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. (music by Band Feedback)

April 5

Ladies Auxiliary provincial dart tournament

April 12

Spring Fling

• 2- 6 p.m. — Anna Ward, back by special request

Light lunch will be served

• 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. — dance (watch for poster for details)

April 26

No dance — private function at Legion

May 12

Mother's Day Dinner Theatre

• 6 p.m. — Dinner. Menu includes chicken breast with lemon sauce, mashed potatoes, vegetables and dessert.

• Immediately following dinner there will be entertainment featuring special guest Mike Bravener with a tribute to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash

• Admission — $20 per person (includes dinner and show)

A limited number of tickets will be sold for this event. Tickets are available at the bar or by calling Judy at 365-7068.

Tickets must be purchased in advance by May 5.
