By now the Easter Bunny has visited all the homes in the area, but he made an early visit to Miramichi on Wednesday evening, March 19, for the city recreations department’s annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Douglastown Community Centre.

Eggs were hidden all around the snowcovered lawn and on the playground, as well as under piles of straw in an outdoor enclosure for younger children to search through. Two tall bunny helpers were on hand to put extra treats into the childrens’ baskets.

Once all the eggs had been found, the many children and their families were invited into the community centre for a magic show, egg painting, pin-the-tailon- the-bunny and free hot chocolate.
