The Millennium Choral Organization Tour Choir will be perform in a concert at St. Mary's Roman Catholic in Newcastle on Saturday, July 12. This concert is hosted by the 51st Miramichi Folksong Festival and St. Mary's Restoration Fund.

The choir, made up of 32 members from Kitchener, Ontario is touring Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in July. The choir is under the direction of Alfred Kunz who established the choir in 1989. As a composer, choral director, arranger, and music coach, Kunz has demonstrated an extraordinary capacity to make music not for the few but for the many: the common property of all. The choir's ages span seven decades and their background and levels of musical training vary widely. Their repertoire represents music that extends from Back to the Beatles and beyond. They will be accompanied by Jeanette Bauman on piano.

The program for the Maritime tour, Wind, Water and Song, features songs of the rivers, the ocean, the wind, both spiritual and in physical forms. The concert will also feature from the Butler Family — Mary, Susan and Shannon.

Advance tickets are $10 and at the door $12. Tickets are on sale at Book's Inn, Bill's Kwik Way and St. Mary's Parish office.
