• Monday, June 30 — A tornado struck the heart of Regina in 1912, killing 28 persons and causing millions in damages.
• Tuesday, July 1 — Happy Birthday! The Dominion of Canada came into existence in 1867, it consisted of Ontario, Québec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
• Wednesday, July 2 — Big Bear surrendered at Fort Carlton in 1885. Though he had always counseled peace, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
• Thursday, July 3 — In 1987 Québec City was the first city in North America to be awarded World Heritage status.
• Friday, July 4 — Bonjour, Québec! Samuel de Champlain established a fortified trading post at Québec in 1608. Quebec was the perfect location to foster the fur trade and to serve as the base for its founder's idea of colonization.
• Saturday, July 5 — The songwriter who "Drove Old Dixie Down" - Popular singer-songwriter Robbie Robertson, who played with the Hawks and the Band, was born in 1944 at Toronto.
• Sunday, July 6 - Bio-Feminist - Biochemist Jeanne Manery, whose scientific work and feminist endeavours brought women a new status in her field, was born in 1908 at Chelsey, Ontario.
