On Tuesday the 3037 Miramichi Army Cadets had our monthly CO's parade. A CO's parade is when we get dressed in perfect uniform and are inspected by our Commanding Officer, Captain White. Afterwards we have classes or different activities, like guest speakers.

This CO's parade was also our Open House night, for new recruits and their parents. We made displays about being in cadets and showed them to the parents, and Capt. White had a powerpoint presentation for them.

We also played teamwork games and did the indoor obstacle course. We played Simon-Says Drill, and a game called Minefield where you lead your blindfolded teammates through a maze made of chairs and stuff by calling out directions.

The 3037 Army Cadets have almost 20 new recruits so far this year, but we are still accepting new members. The army cadets train Tuesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. at the Newcastle armoury, 305 George Street. For more information, call 625-7248 or 836-1804.
