Betty Ann purr-fectly companionable

Hi! My name is Betty Ann. I am a young, adult female calico cat. I have medium-length hair and dilute colours. I am a friendly girl who will follow you around until you pay attention to me. That is often a difficult job in a place like this because there are so many of us who need to be noticed.
When you come to the shelter to find a cat, you should really spend some time in the rooms to get to know us a little and truly find out which cat you are going to be compatible with. We all have such different personalities and if you just judge us on looks alone you may miss out on the nicest cat
As I said, there are many of us here and there are some that have been here waiting so long that they are beginning to give up hope of being adopted. There are several cats that have already been spayed or neutered and so all you would need to do is take them home and give them a good life. My friend Kari was spayed this week because some students raised the money for her operation by selling peppermints in their classroom. It doesn't take a lot of planning or time to think of a project to raise enough to spay or neuter a cat at the shelter.
Pledge sheets are now available for the SPCA's Annual Dog Jog. They can be picked up at the Miramichi SPCA in the Industrial Park in Chatham. The Dog Jog will take place on Saturday, June 7 at 11 a.m. at French Fort Cove.
For more information about adopting me, please call the SPCA at 622-0645 or come visit me at the shelter located in the Chatham Industrial Park on 128 Dan Cripps St. Due to a lack of funding the shelter is closed Monday-Wednesday until further notice, but will be open Thursday-Sunday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
