Toastmasters holding anniversary open house Oct. 21
Published Friday October 10th, 2008

Miramichi Toastmasters Club 688 is celebrating its 35th Anniversary with an Open House at the Nordin Rec Center from 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 21.
Organizers are hoping to see former members who helped the club reach this milestone, and say they would love to show everyone why Toastmasters International has been a successful communication and leadership organization worldwide for over 80 years.
A trade-fair style information session will launch the evening.
Guests will be able to check the displays at several stations and interact with club members.
There will be a tribute to founding members, information on the club and displays about the Toastmasters International program.
There will be free refreshments, snacks and a special anniversary cake.
The evening will conclude in the clubroom with a brief ceremony and remarks from Area Governor, Peggy Humby of Moncton.
The club does no fundraising, fees are very reasonable and members can develop self-confidence through improved communication and leadership skills.
Everyone is welcome.
