A committee co-chaired by Stanislas Paulin and Susan Butler has been formed to bring classical concerts to the Miramichi this fall and winter.

The concerts are to be held at the Théâtre Gilles-Laplante at the Carrefour Beausoleil. So far, four concerts have been booked: two in October, one near the end of February and the other near the end of April.

The price for all four concerts is set at $60 — $20 each for one concert each featuring a cellist, a piano duo, and a Korean violinist, plus $30 for the L'Opéra du Québec's the Barber of Séville.

Paulin said if the committee can sell 160 tickets, it will be able to admit all students accompanied by an adult free.
