Rock 'n' Roll Festival marathon to create road blocks

The Miramichi Police Force advise motorists that on Sunday, July 6, 2008 the King George Highway will be closed from the lights at the Civic Centre to the lights at the Kingsway Restaurant from 8:30-8:40 a.m. to accommodate the Rock 'n Roll Festival half-marathon, 10k and 5k races.

Also, to accommodate the runners during the race, police will be closing the Morrissey Bridge from 9-9:30 a.m. Officers will be monitoring traffic during the entire event and warn motorists to be extra cautious of runners and volunteers participating in the race.
