The Miramichi Timberwolves' Chance to Win 2 Cars Lotto, in partnership with Miramichi Mazda and Towne Ford, will raise funds to support the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation's Digital Mammogram campaign.
"Each home game for the 2008 season will sell tickets for a Chance to Win 2 Cars with 100 per cent of the funds raised donated to support the purchase of a local digital mammogram service," said Drew Hunter, Media Relations Co-ordinator for the Timberwolves. "The tickets, sold at $1 each, will draw for two qualifiers at each home game. The two qualifiers will shoot for the chance to have their name entered into the final Shoot for the two cars at the last home game of the season, where all the final qualifiers will be handed a set of keys. The two participants that have the set of keys that open each car will then qualify to shoot for and hopefully win the cars," added Hunter. "We are excited about this new campaign and the fact that we can support the Hospital Foundation in their efforts. A digital mammogram service is important to our community. We will all benefit by having enhanced breast screening equipment at our hospital."
"We are grateful to the Miramichi Timberwolves and their partners Miramichi Mazda and Towne Ford for their efforts in support of our cause," said Steve Myles, Foundation Chairperson. "Their unique project will assist us to promote the importance of reaching our goal to provide state of the art breast care equipment to local patients."
The Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation's "For Every Person. For Every Reason." campaign is raising funds to purchase a $600,000 local digital mammogram service. Digital mammography is the most technologically advanced equipment available for early detection of breast abnormalities. Early detection, followed by prompt treatment, offers the best chance to treat breast cancer successfully.
