Skor sweet as chocolate
Published Wednesday November 19th, 2008

Hi! My name is Skor! I am one of the new additions to the shelter as of last week, when someone noticed me one cold rainy night. I was found in Newcastle trying to get into a fast food place to keep warm when a couple came by and scooped me up. I was relieved when they brought me to their home and filled my tummy with delicious food and let me have a good night's rest. The only unfortunate thing was that they couldn't keep me, as most animal lovers already have too many pets to take in another.
I have been at the shelter for a little over a week, which I find much better than being alone to fend for myself like before. A lady was in recently to donate money towards a cat spay and I am the lucky one who was chosen, so I will be spayed very soon.
Since I was wandering around outside, the shelter wants to be safe and prevent an unwanted litter because the sad truth is that there are not enough homes for us. A little information about me is that I am a cute, petite tortoiseshell who is approximately a year old. I am extremely friendly and I get along great with everyone. They called me Skor because I am so sweet, just like the treat! Come to the shelter and see for yourself. Please come today and fall in love with me!
For more information about adopting, please call the SPCA at 622-0645 or come visit the shelter, located in the Chatham Industrial Park on 128 Dan Cripps Street. The shelter is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. The shelter is closed on Mondays.
Don't forget to check out the pictures on our Facebook site under the Save the Miramichi SPCA group to see the many other cats, kittens and dogs here at the shelter.
