Nemo wants to find a home
Published Friday November 21st, 2008

Hi! My name is Nemo! I am a big, muscular fella who is approximately three to four years old with a cream-coloured white coat. I was found as a stray and the lady who surrendered me said that I had been hanging around her place for awhile and she had taken a special liking to me. Unfortunately, the weather is getting colder and she didn't want to see me outside in it any longer. Since she was not able to keep me herself, she gave a generous donation to have me neutered, which was done this week. I was very grateful because someone said that this will increase a cat's chance at being adopted!
I have been at the shelter for a few weeks, which makes me one of the new lovebugs because I am super affectionate. I get along good with most of the cats here, but I really want my stay to be short because I want someone to call me their own very soon. I am hoping to catch someone's eye and to steal somebody's heart by appearing in the paper today. However, I will require the help of an assistant in order for my spell to work. Please will you come to the shelter and let me work my magic on you?
For more information about adopting, please call the SPCA at 622-0645 or come visit the shelter, located in the Chatham Industrial Park on 128 Dan Cripps St. The shelter is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. The shelter is closed on Mondays.
Don't forget to check out the pictures on our Facebook site under the Save the Miramichi SPCA group to see the many other cats, kittens and dogs here at the shelter.
