Another rip-off on horizon

When O.P.E.C. raised its' oil prices, I expected an increase at the gas pumps, never did I realize that, the price of gas would soar to extremes. Then I view on my TV a segment on the oil sands in Alberta, how the oil is extracted from the sands and sent South of the border, with our blessings. Could this be another rip-off forced upon you and I?

Some people blame our politicians for allowing gas prices to soar, and do nothing about it. I do not, after all, it was the majority of, we, the people who elected them to protect our best interests.

In my opinion, another rip-off has loomed upon the horizon. You guessed it, soaring prices at our grocery stores. I might understand, lets say, on green beans and corn, if there was a shortage on these items, but increases on everything in the outlet without justification. There can't be a shortage of everything, which warrants an increase to be placed upon us. Let's get real!

While shopping for my groceries with a short list to follow, I pushed my cart at a rapid pace knowing where the items on my list were located. An acquaintance of mine suggested I might receive a ticket for speeding. I replied, I will have to take that chance, I want to complete my list before they raise the prices, again.

As for myself, to help combat high costs more than ever, I must shop selectively and smartly and remind myself, "buyer beware".
