SQUIRT SOFTBALL — The Nelson Softball Association will play host to the N.B. Squirt Softball Provincials this coming weekend at the Merle Doyle Memorial Field in Nelson. There will be four teams participating: the host Nelson-Miramichi Vics, Bass River Titans, the Fredericton Jays, and the Fredericton Red Sox.

Round Robin play begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and goes all day. Play concludes Sunday with crossovers at 9:30 a.m. and championship final beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The schedule for Doyle Field is as follows:

Saturday, July 26

• 9 a.m. — Nelson vs. Bass River

• 10:45 a.m. — Fredericton Jays vs. Fredericton Red Sox

• 12:30 p.m. — Nelson vs. Fredericton Jays

• 2:30 p.m. — Bass River vs. Fredericton Red Sox

• 4:30 p.m. — Nelson vs. Fredericton Red Sox

• 6:15 p.m. — Bass River vs. Fredericton Jays

Sunday, July 27

• Playoff 9:30 a.m. — G "A": Second vs. Third

• Championship Game 11:30 a.m. — Winner G "A" vs. First Place team
