Nolan Levy tossed a complete game victory for the Ironmen, allowing just one run through six innings of play.

The win marked the first time Chatham had defeated Fredericton all season. That included an earlier meeting in the tournament where the Royals downed the Ironmen. The Royals cruised undefeated through the early rounds and the semi-final where they defeated the Shediac Rangers 5-2.

Chatham made it to the semi-final by defeating Saint John and Moncton before downing Riverview in their semi-final game before going on to the tournament final.

The team named Levi, Tyson Sargent, Justin Moran and Matthew Losier as tournament MVPs for the the Ironmen.

The provincial champs are in action again next week as they host the Atlantic PeeWee AAA Championship tournament, featuring teams from P.E.I., Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. The tournament goes Sept. 15-17 at the James M. Hill High School ball field.
